Father's Day Lunch

Despite my frequent disappearance at home....(sorry mum & dad), I would still make sure that I never miss an important occasion at home. This goes for Father's Day / Mother's Day / or any family members birthday. So far, my parents have never complained and they have never really asked for anything at all from us, children (aside from us to be good & to stay at home more frequent)...hehehe...

It was always our suggestion on where to bring them for any important ocassions. This year, I gave a few suggestions...Well, actually I only gave 2 suggestions...Alan's suggestions is quite ridiculous so that doesn't count..haha. It was between Alexis and Delicious, but since mom and dad have never been to Delicious...Hence....DELICIOUS it is!!!

Unfortunately, dad had a toothache and didn't really enjoyed his meal. So the majority of the food we ordered was gobbled by mum and myself. Well, no wonder Anu said that I have put on weight....Sighhh.....

 My absolutely delicious Mushroom Spaghettini..Yum!!
Alan said that I am weird for liking this dish...Crispy mushrooms...but its really good! (Well, even mum said so..., Dad says its yucky tho...hmmmmm...I wonder who's weird...)
 Mum's Tunisian Eggplant Spaghettini
Dad's Nasi Kerabu with Ayam Percik & Ulam
Alan's Carbonara Spaghettini

Lets Go Green!

Lately, I find myself consuming more greens & less meat...which is a good thing I feel. I feel healthier and lighter, even without the exercise...lol. There's a new vegetarian restaurant which opened nearby my office not too long ago called "Kafe De Mahametta", and I have started to pay "almost everyday visit" during lunch hours. The serving portion were quite large & not to mention, they taste good too. Located in quite a remote area and with the lack of crowd, I do hope that they would be able to continue to sustain their vegetarian business tho.

So far, I've tried their mixed rice set / bak ku teh set (vegetarian style) / claypot chicken rice set / rendang rice set / nasi lemak set  and sambal sotong rice set....Yummmmmm....Their set meal comes with a glass of hot tea, fruits and a bowl of soup.
Apart from having trying out new dishes from Kafe De Mahametta, I also visited a new vegetarian restaurant (or rather cafe like) in Sunway Pyramid called "The Simple Life." It's slightly pricier but their portions are quite big. Perhaps I am just a light eater..heheh...But nevertheless, I think I will definitely pay them another visit again soon...

Wilton Course 2 & 3

I just realized that I have not update my blog for such a loooonnnngggg time now. I haven't even posted up my graduation cakes from Wilton Course 2 & 3!!!! Wilton courses are so much fun. It was good to get to know new people who adores baking just as much as I do. I do find myself a bit sad during the last class tho as it was finally time to bid our goodbyes to one another. But then again, I do foresee myself enrolling into another baking course soon..hehehe. Speaking of which, I would be enrolling myself to join the Dark Chocolate Banana Gateux Class with Sunny Yaw at the end of June 2011.Yayyyyy!!!

Hmmm anyways, back to the Wilton Courses pics.....For Course 2, we did a Garden themed cake & for Course 3, we did a gift cake & a Wedding tiered cake...I'm quite overjoyed at the final outlook of my cake....& I am proud of myself too....hehehe

Bake Bake Bake for Order....

Lately, I find myself baking less...It's not that I don't want to. Well, perhaps I just lack of testers...Hmm...I should come up with a solution....But then again, it's not as if it was a huge problem, it's just that I do enjoy baking a lot and I need to improve myself. So without any testers, how can I bake more right. I mean, who's gonna eat em?

So my latest bakes were just from orders:
